Which DDC Moisturizer? Compare All Six Formulas

DirectDermaCare makes six face moisturizers. Two are lighter daily formulas, three are richer creams and one, Night Renewal Creme, is an evening cream with active ingredients. If you want the short answer: choose Soothing Emulsion or Oil-Free Daily Moisturizer for a lighter feel, Hyaluronic Moisturizer, Embrace Collagen Moisturizer or Extreme Moisture Blend for a richer cream, and consider Night Renewal Creme only after reading its precautions.
The details below come from each product’s full ingredient list and directions. Ingredient lists do not show concentrations, and no moisturizer suits everyone, so use this as a way to narrow your choice rather than a prediction of how your skin will respond.

If you prefer a lighter texture
Soothing Emulsion is a lightweight, fast-absorbing emulsion and the lowest-priced 50 mL option. Its base pairs glycerin and betaine with rice ferment and a shea butter extract. Apply it after cleansing and any serum.
Oil-Free Daily Moisturizer is also light, built around squalane, glycerin and panthenol. Its directions call for a pea-sized amount morning and evening. It has no stated SPF rating, so you still need a separate sunscreen during the day.
Neither formula lists fragrance in its ingredients. That does not make either one suitable for every sensitive skin type, so patch test first.
If you prefer a richer cream
Hyaluronic Moisturizer combines sodium hyaluronate with shea butter, squalane and sunflower seed oil for a cushiony feel. Embrace Collagen Moisturizer is a softer conditioning cream with soluble collagen, oat kernel extract and aloe. Both are 50 mL, both contain fragrance, and both can be used morning and evening after serum.
Extreme Moisture Blend is a rich cream built on glycerin, olive fruit oil, dimethicone and petrolatum. It comes in a smaller 30 mL jar and contains both fragrance and chamomile flower oil. It is sold as a one-time purchase only.
Night Renewal Creme is a different kind of choice
Night Renewal Creme contains glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), and retinyl palmitate, a vitamin A derivative. Apply it in the evening, avoiding the eye area, and introduce it gradually. The FDA explains that AHAs can increase sun sensitivity, so use sunscreen, cover exposed skin and limit sun exposure while using it and for one week afterward.
Avoid Night Renewal Creme during pregnancy, and do not layer it with Glycolic Acid Serum or a retinol product in the same evening. If you use prescription skin treatments, ask your clinician before adding it. Our night cream vs. daily moisturizer guide explains the difference in more detail.
Check fragrance and allergens
Fragrance or parfum appears in the ingredient lists of Hyaluronic Moisturizer, Embrace Collagen Moisturizer, Extreme Moisture Blend and Night Renewal Creme. Extreme Moisture Blend also contains chamomile flower oil. Soothing Emulsion and Oil-Free Daily Moisturizer list no fragrance.
