Compression Garment Sizing Help

Start with the garment your surgical team recommends, then use the chart for that exact brand and style. Your usual clothing size—and a size you previously bought from another brand—may not match.

Before choosing a size

  1. Confirm the style, coverage and any closure or drain-site requirements with your clinician.
  2. Open the size chart on the product page. Note whether the chart uses inches or centimeters.
  3. Take the measurements the chart calls for. Use a flexible measuring tape and follow the manufacturer's measuring instructions; keep a record of each measurement and its units.
  4. Compare all required measurements. If they fall into different sizes, contact us before ordering.

Raineywear: use the updated charts

Raineywear has updated its sizing. Measure again even if you have ordered the brand before. Current listings include the relevant women's, men's or facial/binder chart. Some styles offer Smart Fit, with separate waist and hip choices; complete every requested measurement field.

The women's chart shown on our listings covers XXS–4X. For 5X/6X, or an option outside the published chart, ask us for guidance first. The men's chart begins at S; contact us about XS measurements.

ContourMD: check the style number

ContourMD offers bras, binders, facial wraps and body garments with different sizing systems. Use the size information on the individual listing. A bra band size, binder circumference and body-garment size are different measurements. If the listing does not show measurements for your option, contact us before purchasing.

Information that helps us answer your question

Send the product link or style number, the available size you are considering, and the measurements requested by that product's chart, including units. Include any garment specifications your practice gave you. Please do not send medical records or patient details.

We can help you locate product and sizing information. Your treating clinician should determine the garment, amount of compression and wear schedule for your recovery.

Allow time before you need the garment

Raineywear's supplier-listed dispatch is typically 2–3 business days, with transit time additional. Other products have different dispatch times. Read shipping details and contact us if you have a specific deadline.

Garments may be tried on but must not be visibly worn to qualify under our return policy. Need help? Email sales@directdermacare.com or use the form below.
