With an open / exposed-ear design, this pull-on facial wrap ( F95 / FC-95 ) is a Stage 2 compression garment by Rainey. It feature Rainey's exclusive Non-Slip Dome design and adjustable Velcro closure at the neck for optimal comfort and support.
It is used during "Stage 2" of recovery (2-8 weeks post-op) for face and neck compression and maximum support. It is commonly used with facelift surgeries. After surgery, the surgeon will apply a dressing and a facial compression garment to protect the entire area where the incisions have been made.
This compression wrap is ideal for post-op care. After surgery, there is usually very little pain, but surgeons usually prescribe medication "just in case." Some swelling and bruising is unavoidable, and your surgeon may recommend cold compresses to keep swelling to a minimum. If a dressing has been applied, it will be removed within one to two days. If a drainage tube was inserted during surgery, it will usually be removed the first or second day after surgery. Any sutures and staples are usually removed within five to ten days after surgery. The surgeon will instruct you to keep your head elevated when lying down, to avoid as much activity as possible and to report any extreme discomfort.
